Description

La Sagra della Crescia si svolge dal 1987 durante il primo fine settimana di Agosto. Dal 2014 è censita nell'elenco Nazionale dei prodotti Agroalimentari Tradizionali della Regione Marche. La crescia conserva gli ingredienti e la modalità di preparazione di un tempo: farina di grano tenero, acqua e lievito sono impastati rigorosamente a mano con strutto, sale e un pizzico di zucchero. L'impasto viene suddiviso in tante pagnottelle che stese con il mattarello sono poste in teglie monodose; successivamente la pasta viene punzecchiata con una forchetta per evitare gonfiori e pizzicata manualmente per ottenere i classici "ingranaggi" (per questo è nota anche come Crescia Sa I'ngranagg). Rispettando così la tradizione di sfornare cresce croccanti fuori e morbide dentro. Prima della cottura il condimento prevede gli ingredienti di un tempo: sale, strutto e rosmarino o cipolla, pepe e olio EVO. Dal 2010 è attiva la "Scuola della Crescia" che ha lo scopo di tramandare, a chi ne fosse interessato, la ricetta e la tecnica di produzione della Crescia d'la Staciola.

Polenta Festival

No written records have ever been found to clearly explain the origins of this ancient polenta festival, whose roots are lost in time and deeply tied to the life of the village.
The celebration was born many years ago as a simple “home” gathering, held in the largest and most welcoming room of all: the town square.
It was the desire to be together that inspired this event , sharing a meal of polenta, cooked over an improvised fire. In those early days, the polenta was “sorda,” meaning plain and unseasoned, and any leftovers were toasted over the fireplace, picking up the scent of smoke and a dusting of ash.
